Customer Service
We know you're busy. So we get that sometimes you can't just stop in your neighborhood LensCrafters to speak to one of our trained associates - especially if you only have a quick question. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions to help you out.
If you still have questions and would like to speak directly to a customer service representative, please call us at 1-877-7LENSCRAFTERS.*
Q. How much will my eye exam cost?
A. Each Independent Doctor of Optometry located next to LensCrafters sets prices for exams and other services. Just contact the Independent Doctor of Optometry** nearest you for prices.
Q. Do I have to get an eye exam from an Independent Doctor of Optometry in order to buy my glasses at LensCrafters?
A. Not at all. The Independent Doctor of Optometry next to our stores is available as a convenience to you. And as long as you have a current, valid prescription from a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist, you can always buy glasses from LensCrafters.
Q. Do I have to have an appointment to see an Independent Doctor of Optometry?
A. It's not required, but it's a good idea. Many Independent Doctors of Optometry prefer their patients make appointments ahead of time - although some same-day appointments may be available. You can schedule your eye exam online or by calling 1-877-7LensCrafters - just be sure to schedule at least three hours in advance.
Q. I have a disability. Can LensCrafters accommodate me?
A. LensCrafters is committed to serving the diverse needs of our customers. LensCrafters is pleased to provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act and similar state laws upon request. If you require a reasonable accommodation, we encourage you to please contact us prior to your visit to discuss how we can assist you.
Q. How much will my lenses cost?
A. There's a lot of factors that affect the price of lenses. So until we know what type of lens you want and what your prescription is, we can't accurately estimate the cost. To best answer this question, stop by your local LensCrafters.
Q. Which insurance plans does LensCrafters accept?
A. LensCrafters accepts EyeMed Vision Care and most major vision insurance plans, including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Cross of California, UniCare, AIG, Cigna Vision and Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. However, it's always best to confirm your benefits through your insurance provider.
Q. I love eyeglasses for fashion - can I buy them without prescription lenses?
A. You bet. We call them "plano" lenses, and they're available with the same great options as prescription lenses, including hip tints and anti-reflective coatings.
Q. How can I get a copy of my prescription?
A. Well, if the prescription comes from an Independent Doctor of Optometry next to LensCrafters, just contact them and ask for a copy of your prescription. If the prescription came from another optometrist, you'll need to talk to that doctor individually.
Q. Do you offer prescription sports goggles?
A. We do. LensCrafters carries Rec Specs Sports Goggles that can be fitted with almost any prescription.
Q. How can I submit my services and/or products for marketing consideration?
A. Submit your request in writing to:
